Michelle crafted Jack In A Box Nursery to reflect her passion for fostering curiosity and creating a warm, hygge-inspired setting. Her vision aligns with a desire to build a place where children not only grow and learn, but also gain confidence and knowledge through the freedom of play. As the owner, she sees the nursery as a source of pride where children flourish within this enriching environment. Michelle’s dedication to placing children at the heart of learning resonates through her promise to create a nurturing environment characterised by comfort, cosiness, and well-being. Beyond her role, she finds joy in horse riding and outdoor activities, adding a personal touch to her visionary approach.

Meet Vicky, a dedicated professional whose connection goes beyond the workplace -her own child attended the same nurturing environment she now contributes to. Beyond her commitment to early childhood development, her love for nature aligns seamlessly with her creative talent. Vicky possesses a remarkable skill for devising new and exciting ways, as well as activities, to make learning a vibrant and engaging experience for all children and adapting them to meet the needs of each individual child.

Meet Emma, a multi-talented individual with a warm heart. Emma started her professional life in nursing and now with 30 years in childcare she brings a fusion of creativity, expertise, and a caring heart. Emma’s passion for baking is a delightful reflection of her love for the culinary arts. Beyond the kitchen, she is immersed in the world of music, with a particular fondness for teaching piano. Emma’s creativity extends beyond music; she crafts her own unique pieces of jewellery and even writes her own children’s novels, one inspired by her own family.

Meet Callum, a sports enthusiast with a love for sea swimming. While he once embraced the vibrant life of Vancouver, Canada, he’s now back in the UK. Rooted in his upbringing is a foundation of childcare, shaping his journey with a blend of athletic pursuits and a nurturing spirit. Acknowledging the importance of male role models in the early years’ workforce, where males constitute only 2%, Callum is committed to offering children support, guidance, and a positive influence. He not only promotes physical activity but also encourages a holistic approach to learning, shaping the young minds at Jack In A Box Nursery with a blend of athleticism and compassionate care. He also believes that a child learns best when they feel safe and through laughter.

What’s next?

We’re not here to teach you how to bring up your child – we want to reinforce what you do at home, so when you first arrive, our experienced team will take the time to discover your child’s routine; and how you settle your child.

During the induction period, you will meet with one of our supportive team, who will go through all those little details about your child. Then we will ensure you understand all our policies and how we support you with your child and their growth.

Our first promise is to deliver a safe and secure environment for your child to learn and grow. You will be connected with a dedicated contact person for you and our child. This key person will record your child’s progress and development. These moments will be shared with you using our online system Tapestry. Through Tapestry, we also have the ability to upload those special moments using both images and videos, so that you can share the with special people in your life.
