A Typical Day

Every day is different. We have a flexible approach where we respond to the interest of the child, and if you follow us on Facebook or Instagram, you will see what fun we have.

Forest School

We join Dover’s forest school reception class weekly where our children will spend time in a forest area with a trained Forest School Practitioner, this is all year round including rain and snow. This is a time when the children really begin to develop confidence to challenge themselves.

Welcome to our world

We understand that this is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever have to make. The development of your child during those early years is so important, and we really get that. Every day we explore new ways to expand your child’s experience, and learning, in a fun, curious and stimulating way.

Our nursery in Dover offers a friendly and homely environment. Expert trained staff will care for and nurture your child through their stimulating day with us.

When you leave your child at Jack in a Box Nursery, you can have complete piece of mind knowing your child is safe with loving, caring staff, that will treat your child as an individual.

Our Community

We are not here to teach you how to bring up your child – we want to reinforce what you do at home, so when you first arrive, our experienced team will take the time to discover your child’s routine; and how you settle your child.

SAM K

We couldn’t ask for a better nursery for our son over the last 2 years. Staff are always supportive, friendly & welcoming. On a personal level they have worked so very hard for our autistic son & have so much to help him & us all as a family. Highly recommended nursery, they are amazing!

JASMINE

We couldn’t recommend this nursery more! They have been amazing with our little boy and us as a family. They go above and beyond for all the children and families that they work with. We couldn’t have felt more comfortable leaving our little boy with them, they’ve treated him like their own, and we couldn’t of wished for better. He absolutely loves everyone there and already misses it like mad. Thank you for being such a huge part of his journey

JOHN J

The Woodland School at Jack in a Box Nursery is a hidden gem. The blend of traditional learning in the nursery and the hands-on, nature-based education in the Woodland School has given our child a well-rounded foundation. Kudos to the entire team!

JULIET

Can’t say less can’t say more other than amazing place, filled with love, care and support. My little one loves the woodland area the most and loves building bug houses with Callum. His distinction ECO school certificate is hanging proud in our hallway.

The Curiosity Approach

our ethos

The Curiosity Approach embodies a dynamic and inventive approach to fostering child development during the early years. With a strong emphasis on placing children at the centre of the learning journey, it offers countless avenues for exploration, imagination, and creative expression. This approach opens doors for children to engage, discover, and shape their own learning experiences. The innovative method nurtures and empowers children, allowing them to flourish and grow.

Unique To Us

Flexible Approach

Following the Curiosity Approach, we place children at the core of the learning journey, offering children countless avenues for exploration, imagination and creative expression.

Free Flow Play

We have created a free flow space with various opportunities for the children, including a cosy reading hub, nestled amid planers, where we cultivate a range of herbs and produce.

Quiet Spaces

Our nursery provides peaceful corners for relaxation, a designated home area, ample space for floor play, and constructing large structures, as well as areas designed to engage children’s interests.

Yoga Spaces

Every Wednesday we have children’s yoga classes to get the children stretching, relaxing and helping them to learn a skill that will help them through development, and into adulthood.
